Process

Originally modelled in Maya for a 3D animation course I took at SFU, I further refined it in Blender once class was over for fun! This model took quite a while to create but I'm happy with how it turned out.

After roughly modelling my face from reference photos, I refined it before texture painting using photos of my face with additional procedural texturing to add tiny bumps. If you look a bit more closely you can tell the material painting could be improved. Part of what made this difficult was that I was painting three 2D photos into a 3D model and tried my best to blend areas that overlapped.

If I ever go back to this, I would love to add cables coming out the bottom to look like a robot's head!
